Call for demos and posters

SCOPE AND OVERVIEW

Welcome to the 26th IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks.

IEEE WoWMoM 2025 is soliciting original and previously unpublished research works addressing research challenges and advances in the areas of wireless, mobile, and multimedia networking as well as ubiquitous and pervasive systems and applications. Wireless networking technologies are continuously evolving and have become a critical part of modern life, be it for communication services, media distribution, or sensing and actuation services within the Internet of Things (IoT) context. Appropriate resource management, applications design, and architectural networking paradigms are necessary to provide users with high quality experience in multimedia communication and services. Edge computing and data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are becoming essential tools to cope with the increasing diversity of connected devices and the plethora of new data-intensive and latency-sensitive applications requested by end-users. At the same time, the interoperability among IoT environments (including wearable computing and sensors), the network edge, and the cloud are evolving towards an edge-cloud continuum that is expected to support a wide range of application domains and services in a more smooth and efficient manner. In this context, providing rich sets of measurements for characterizing, detecting, and understanding the behavior of such complex systems is of paramount importance.

IEEE WoWMoM 2025 takes a broad view and seeks papers describing innovative research contributions to the field of mobile and wireless networking and applications. We solicit papers that present original work, validated by experimentation, simulation, or analysis. We also welcome practical experiences and experimental efforts from both industry and academia, duly documenting the lessons learned from testbeds, field trials, or real deployments.

You are invited to submit a poster and/or demo related to the following topics of interest:

    Please note:
    1. All posters/demos will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance, originality, significance, and clarity. All poster/demo submissions will be handled electronically. Posters/demos that do not comply with the Submission Guidelines will be rejected without review.
    2. All posters/demos should be submitted electronically in PDF and be no longer than 3 pages in the IEEE double column proceedings format including tables, figures and references. Papers exceeding 3 pages will not be accepted. All accepted abstracts will appear in the proceedings. The demos and posters should include the prefix “DEMO:” and “POSTER:” in the title of the submitted paper, respectively. Download manuscript templates for IEEE conference proceedings: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
    3. Poster title must start with "Poster:" and Demo title must start with "Demo:"
    4. At least one author of each accepted poster/demo is required to register to the conference and present. Only registered and presented posters/demos will be published in the conference proceedings. Accepted posters/demos will be included in the IEEE WoWMoM 2023 Proceedings and will be submitted for inclusion to IEEE Xplore.
